Holtsville, NY – Bohemia-based Data Device Corporation (DDC) sponsored the Spectrum of Dreams Foundation with a casual dress day in February, raising over $1100. The event was spear-headed by Spectrum of Dreams board member Deb Furey.
“Our roots are in the Long Island community and what a great show of support from DDC – a Long Island based company,” said Furey.
Data Device Corporation (DDC) is recognized as the leading international supplier of high-reliability data interface products for military and commercial aerospace applications.
The mission of Spectrum of Dreams is to help special needs children living on Long Island who may require financial resources by providing support that enhances their life skills, education and quality of life.
Second Annual Happy Hour Fundraiser set for Friday, May 30, 2014
Holtsville, NY — The Spectrum of Dreams Foundation will host its second annual happy hour fundraiser on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Harbor Crab Restaurant from 6-10 p.m.Admission is $50 and includes full open bar, casual dnner buffet and one sheet of raffle tickets.
Last year’s fundraiser was the kickoff event for the foundation and raised over $10,000. The proceeds were used to support financially-challenged special needs families and children with ipads, therapeutic horseback riding lessons, gift cards, after school tennis programs and more.
The mission of Spectrum of Dreams is to help special needs children living on Long Island who may require financial resources by providing support that enhances their life skills, education and quality of life. Specifically, we provide a foundation for families and children to help alleviate financial burdens that can accompany their needs. We seek to strengthen the educational experience by providing reinforcements for scholarships and classroom reserves. Additionally, equipping these children with the tools to enhance their quality of life with extracurricular activities is a priority.
